Mac Mini Airport wireless help

A relative of mine just got an Intel Mac Mini. While chatting on the phone to help him set some stuff up, he claims that every time the Mac goes into sleep, an account is logged off then logged back on, or the machine is restarted, the wireless settings are not saved and he has to configure them again to get it back up. I don't have airport wireless in any of my Mac's, so I wouldn't know any better than him on how to fix this problem. Has anyone experienced a problem like this? If anyone could help, please reply.

was it purchased new or used?

was it purchased new or used?

possibly the Airport card needs to be reseated? maybe got jostled a bit too much in shipping?

...Have you tried using disk utility to repair permissions on the disk?

if those ideas dont work; you could try creating a new user profile and seeing if the airport behaves OK on the new account?

and; if it comes down to it - you could just reinstall the system with the restore discs.

My guess is that the problem

My guess is that the problem is simply that he's not checking the "save password" box when he connects to the wireless network. The fact he's able to connect rules out hardware.

Hmm...

I believe there is an option to have it disconnect from wifi when it logs out...
That may be an issue...

It's new

The Mac Mini was purchased fresh new from online. I'll have to talk with him over the phone and get more info on what the exact problem is and what message is prompting him.

Fixed

I figured out the problem he was having, he typed in the password wrong when he saved it.
