more regulator questions

Thanks for everyone's help on my last question. I managed to get one working last-night around 12. I'm trying to put in a orange micro usb2.0/firewire combo card and it's not working the cheep belken usb card did though. It's the 1-Amp problem yes? I had a friend order some 3.3v 5-Amp regulators is 5A too much or will the pci just draw what it needs?
thanks

Should be fine.

The PCI card will only draw what it needs.

But if you're using the stock CC PSU, then you could start hitting its maximum capacity on the 5v line. If you're serious about Firewire, then you might need to add a small 5v PSU to take some load off the analogue board.
