Imac G5 LCD Inverter Pin Out

Hi all,

I have a imac g5 that is dead. I was hoping to convert it into an external monitor.

I need the pinout voltages for the LCD inverter board.

A similar question with pictures is asked here:

Re: Imac G5 LCD Inverter Pin Out

If you really want to try this, I have a working iMac g5, I could figure it out for you, however I really don't think it's worth it. Figuring out the inverter is the easy part you still have to figure out the video cable.

It's not too hard to replace the capacitors on the board and power supply to fix the problem. Probably take about 2 hours the first time, assuming you know how to solder. I find this fixes 90%+ of the iMac G5s that don't boot.

If you let me know what power supply you have, I could figure out all the caps you need and send them to you for around $30.

Sorry, no. I need the LCD inverter pinout.

There are already instructions: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1110159&highlight=imac+g5+external

All you need is to spice in a DVI cable.

I also found thishttp://x704.net/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5257

It has the inverter voltage outputs, however I do not know which 3.3v controls the brightness, and which controls the on/off of the backlight.
