. . . no time to proofread another irritatingly indelible initial post! :ebc:

I'm tryin' to spend the rest of my $5 budget for today on eBay . . . I've still got $1.75 left to go and so far I've only got two PowerBooks and a freakin' PC Card Carrier to show for my sniping efforts!

HEH! Acute

Yeah, let me tell you, not many website have their own sodality!

HEH! That word has odd connotations . . . hrmmm . . . like "The Magdalena" oughta be the moderator or somethin' like that!

Sodality

I know I can't be the only person who was curious.

From dictionary.com's definition of Sodality

1) A society or an association, especially a devotional or charitable society for the laity in the Roman Catholic Church.

2) Fellowship.

From what I can tell...

As near as I can tell, this is a new board for the discussion and implementation of Applefritter related projects.

Of course, I could be totally wrong.

Curious, can anyone help?

Hi,

I was just checking my site stats for my website and found that one of the URLs people come from to my site is this one, just wondered how come. My URL is http://uk.geocities.com/magdalenafan
Sorry if I'm wasting everyone's time.

pinky.

re: magdalenafan

LOL! It's because of the admin's curious word choice for the title of this forum. I posted a link to your site in an "over the top" joke that she'd make the perfect moderator/forum babe/whatever for a MacHackingSodality forum . . .

. . . that got deleted. ::)

. . . and if THAT explanation clarifies anything for you . . .

Be afraid . . . be very, very afraid! :o

I'll tell you...

You guys know how hard it is to start a sodality these days without it causing a rucus? Wink

What'd you want, something corny like "fellowship"?

Lord of the Fillings!

Fellowship of the pastry!

I envision a sordid tale about a band of representatitves from various Mac user groups from across the land and they are on a quest to throw a failed token ring in the fires of Cupertino and strike down the darkenss that covers the land called Billy (Gates, that is). Various members of the forum can play the main characters - Reverend Darkness can be Gandohlf, RavnDarkness can be Saruman, I can be Gollum (cuz I will eat anything and anyone), DrBob can be Elrond (cuz he's wise in a 'knows alot of stuff' kinda way), and we can leave the rest open to volunteers.

Oh God! I think I am having another one of my weird waking dreams!

Corniness aside, "Dough punchers" was good for me.

Gandahlf the Black.....

Quite appropriate, considering that one of my swords is nicknamed "The Foe-Hammer"...

How many have you got?

I only have one that I picked up in Toledo back in '90. It is a replica of the sword of EL Cid. Wife won't let me add to the collection, especially since my five year old thinks they are cool, (you can see where she is going with that thought, and she IS right). It is a shame too since I have found two good vendors within 200 miles of me (One a direct importer from the shop I visited in '90).

Elrond

I could do Elrond, though I'll have to practice my sneer a bit and stop saying "Mr. Anderson" after every sentence. Acute

I've got a nice Hudson Bay Axe . . .

. . . and a hatchet on that pattern that throws pretty well, but I'm NOT growin' my beard back in this heat and humidity!
