Hi there folks,
i have sold an apple computer to an collector in Japanvery well, but been mobbed therefore.
The Apple 11 was in deed an Apple II which is in german the same as i guess.
They in this german forums told me i was an offender through the price i have mentioned.
Could you all the famous and well informed people here, if i have made a mistake and probably accepted to much money from this buyer.
I will send the links to this german forums an all the photos of this uncommon Aple i have sold if this is allowed in your form

Best regards
Dirk

Sorry nono99 but your whole post is confusing. Did you sell an Apple II to a Japanese and then you were mobbed (robbed)? How?
The German forum told you you were an "offender" because you mentioned a price?
Are you asking if it's bad to accept too much money for an Apple II? Unless it is money laundering, I dont think so.
anyway, hope you can clarify the post, so we may help.
Cheers - Javster

Sorry for my bad english language first.

This Apple i am talkimg about is reserved for 10.000 Dollars, but all the folks in the german forums is mobbing there for they are thinking i am mad.
Probaly i am allowed to post some pictures of this apple in a green case, who should be a prototype for missisle launch bases, the serial number is 0001 produced for hughes aircraft cooperation, which is written down in the "platines" of the computer.

I'd love to see the pictures, it sounds very interesting indeed. If that information is etched the motherboard it might well be from the first run of a MilSpec version of the Apple II.

Did Apple make Military grade computers? I've seen retrofitted Macs, but never anything produced in house?

Nono,

You need to send a private message to SpeedyG.

He also lives in Germany and can probably help you explain your item.

I'd like to see better pictures. These aren't good enough. There were at least two ruggedized milspec Apple II projects from 1980-82 that I am knowledgeable of but I need better pics to make a proper assessment. You might have something interesting.

However, the reality might be:

I see stuff like this frequently. Someone takes a chassis, box, enclosure (whatever) and adapts it to accommodate an Apple II (or often a clone) motherboard. This was a common practice 'back in the day' when Apple sold II and II Plus motherboards separately. The value-minded hacker would buy parts and assemble their own customized machine. If it were a real Apple II mobo inside, there would be some pride involved, and it was very common for the user to plaster Apple stickers on it. I must have handled 25-30 home-built systems like this over the years. In fact, we just cracked one open this past weekend (KansasBash thread on Facebook Apple II Enthusiasts group). The person had hacked an Apple II clone, drives, PSU into an old HP rack enclosure.
