Officially, no, it's long gone. According to Wikipedia -- that bastion of factual accuracy Smile -- there are some members who still meet, but not in any formal way.

I suspect that in 30-40 years from now, a lot of people will talk about the "NYC Resistor" hackerspace as if it were the only one back in the 2010s Smile and the reason why they'll do that is because members of NYC Resistor founded MakerBot, just as a lot of people today act like HCC was the only computer club in the mid-1970s simply because that's where some famous companies originated.

Of course, back in the present, we all know there are LOTS of hackerspaces all around the world.

Let's not forget that it was the same way with homebrew-esque user groups in the middle of the 1970s.

HCC may be gone, but there were plenty of other user groups formed at the same time.

Three examples out of many: I live in New Jersey and I like to study local computer history. In 1975-1976, new groups included the Amateur Computer Society (later "Group") of New Jersey, New York Amateur Computer Club, and Philadelphia Area Computer Society. ALL THREE GROUPS STILL EXIST.
