copying files between diskettes

What's a good utility to copy files between diskettes? I've been relearning apple dos and can't remember if there is a utility to do this.

Thanks

In a word ... "Copy A". Works best for files that are not copy protected.
There are a few others out there too, but this is tops for reliability IMHO.

Unless I'm mistaken, COPYA will copy an entire diskette, but not a single file.

If you want to copy individual files under DOS 3.3, use the program FID on the DOS 3.3 master diskette. You will need to use the command 'BRUN' as it's a binary file.

If using PRODOS just run the PRODOS master diskette and hit 'F' to enter the utilities menu.

FID and COPYA in the old days.

COPY II+ 5.5
COPY II+ 8.4
COPY II+ 9.1
..is what I use in modern times today.

I concur... Copy II+ is probably the best...

CiderPress also works if you want to stay in the windows environment. But there are a lot niceties missing from CP. It needs some modernization and "feature completeness", like actual drag'n'drop between two CP windows. And a status bar at the bottom indicating how much free space is available.

If you can learn CiderPress and Copy II+ (the versions I listed) you're gonna be in good shape when it comes time to pushing files around.
