I think this is an old story. Here's a link to an article in a copy of A2 Central from 1990 about this very thing:

Thanks for reply.
Question that comes to mind.
A2 central mention a journal called Developer being released
quarterly. I checked ASIMOV and it is not there. The first
issue has an article on Dynamo. Any idea about this magazine?
wishtoknow,
I did a Google search for Apple's develop magazine. I found a short article on Wikipedia about it with a link to a MacTech archive of All the copies of develop. It seems when Apple bought Next they discontinued the develop magazine, but it became a section of MacTech magazine. Here's the link to the complete archive of 29 issues of develop: http://www.mactech.com/articles/develop/index.html and then a link to the article you were looking for from the first issue: http://www.mactech.com/articles/develop/issue_01/dynamo.html Enjoy!
Have a Happy New Year,
magnus
