Color Classic with IIe card resolution issue

Hello,

I recently acquired a Color Classic with a IIe card in it thanks to a kind member.

There is a small issue with it, though. Wikipedia states that the resolution is 512x384, which is what it shows in the monitor control panel, but also says it is "switchable" to 560x384 for the IIe card.

But, how do you "switch" it. Mine does not seem to switch when I run the Apple IIe card software (2.2) so the right side of the screen is cut off. I watched a Youtube video of someone playing DigDug and theirs looks fine...

Upgraded to the 2.2.1, then 2.2.2d1. No change... I am missing something here. Does the CC have it's own monitor extension/control panel?

I am grasping at straws here, but I seem to remeber the Color Classic and Color Classic II, by default had 256K of Video RAM and I beleive you needed the 512K of Video RAM installed to get the 560x384 mode. Like I said, I am just grasping here as I am getting old and the memory is going. Smile

Hmm... That could be. I don't think this had that installed. You'd think there would be documentation mentioning that?!

When I read about that VRAM upgrade, it seems to be to support "true" color. I tried to set the Mac to 16 colors, and even 4 colors to save RAM- no change.
