Software Wireless Router

I am attempting to set up a software wireless router on a beige g3 using a d-link dwl-122 wireless usb adaptor. Everything I have read says to just go to sharing and enable internet sharing. I have done this, but when I connect to the ad-hoc network with my powerbook I don't seem to have an internet connection. The network control panel tells me that I am connected by dhcp and I seem to have a assigned ip address, but I can't load pages on a browser.

Here are the specs of the two macs involved:

Beige G3 300
dwl-122
10.2.8

12 inch powerbook
airport extreme card
10.3.5

On an unrelated note, I also have a bunch of gmail invites if anyone wants one.

Sounds like your DNS settings

Sounds like your DNS settings are messed up. Are you doing DNS forwarding on the software router? If not, you'll need to enter a DNS server's address on your PowerBook.

Peace,
Drew
