qty 10: #10-24 machine screws, slotted, flat head, 1/2" length
qty 3: #6-32 machine screws, slotted, round head, 1/4" length
qty 20: #4-40 machine screws, slotted, round head, 1/2" length (or a little longer), plus nuts and maybe washers
I'm looking for vintage screws that will blend in for repairing 70's hardware. If you could check your coffee cans, I'd be grateful!
Edit: I forgot to mention I'm looking for steel.
What are your preferred materials/colors for finish? Nickle, chrome, matte black, brass, stainless? When I know that I can check my inventory.
Thanks, mutant. First photo shows the #6 and #10. It looks to me like the #6 might be nickel. The #10 looks like plain steel.

I don't have of the #4's, but below is what I'd like to match. I thought they were just steel, also, although they look shiny in the photo. These are from an erector set (the other screws are from a TVT2 case).

They look like they are nickle and zinc coated (respectively from left-to-right) and holding together something like parts from an Erector Set. I should have those. I'll check and let you know.
Yes, for the #4s, I'm trying to match the erector set screws.
The #6 and #10's are for a homebrew TVT-II case. The #10's are quite visible. The #6's you'd actually only see if you opened it up.
I'm actually the guy who sold it, I found two of the screws doing some cleaning (the #10s I believe) I can drop them in an envelope if you want them.
Thank you so much! Welcome!
Hi Tom,
I have:
-20pc 4-40 washers
-20pc 4-40 nuts
-I also have 20pc 4-40, slotted, steel, x 1/2" pan head (not what you asked for) screws
2 pcs 6-32 slotted, steel, round head (with slight rust patina) that are 1/2", but can be cut to 1/4"
-OR- a bunch of pan heads either 1/2", 3/8", or cut down to 1/4"
I only had one 10-24 slotted flat-head, and it's too long, modern finished, but I'll cut it down to 1/2" if you want it.
Also, if you are having trouble locally sourcing modern ones that you would accept (for these 6-32 or 10-24 sizes) I can buy and send them to you.
BTW I'm not charging you for the hardware or the shipping. I really appreciate what you do here with the 'Fritter. It's a small enough way of saying "thanks."
I thought I'd post a picture here, or send one by PM, but that seems to have gotten more difficult since you had the site down for servicing.
That's really kind. Thank you. I'll send you a private message.
The server maintenance was just minor updates that shouldn't have changed anything, and I haven't noticed anything different with regards to posting photos. Can you tell me more about what you're experiencing?
Well, just last week I was posting pictures in PM's with TimeLord, very easily with the "media browser" function. I thought I'd post a picture of some other screw head options that I had for you here. There was a more involved procedure that is listed for that, so I thought I'd send you a PM with it instead. I went to do that, but the option to post a picture there seemed to have disappeared. I am running a MacBookPro 2.66 Intel Core 2 Duo, from 2009, with OSX 10.10.5.
It looks like the default filter got changed from HTML to BBCode. I've changed it back. Everything looking back to normal, now?

It looks like something reset the format order again. I'll dig into it.
At least you get to see the (upside-down) picture of a variety of screws that are near to what you wanted. You can see the round head but only 3/8" long 4-40, and the oval head 6-32.
