Best Openings for Micro-Chess 2.0; what is its ELO?

I have been experimenting with some modern openings with Micro-Chess 2.0, that tend to work very well with live play, but the software (from 1980) shocked me in finding creative logic branches to defeat or to blunt them.

I am curious if anyone has ever proven its ELO (per IQ setting) and what the best openings to use against its logic tree tend to be.

As far as I am aware, and the manual supports this, the user can never play as black, so this rules out some options.

I will note that e4, e5, d4, is something that the engine handles very well. After Qxd4, it aggressively goes after thew queen, so Qa4 is not as useful as it would be against a human opponent. I do however lament that it only uses computer notation, and not chess shorthand such as KeA3, or basic things such as d5, d6 as pawn pushes, but it is still shockingly good software to this day. (Running it at 3.5MHz also helps when you set IQ=8, and this was the software that caused me to tut a Transwarp card in my 1979 ][+...)

The AI in those old Chess

The AIs in those old Chess programs are surprisingly good.

I've never beaten Sargon when it is in it's advanced mode, although the entry level mode is easy enough to beat.

Never played Micro Chess 2.0 but I think I might give it  a whirl this weekend.

Here's some light vintage microcomputer chess entertainment that shows how good the old AIs are compared to modern computer chess AIs.

Oh, the bitter taste when I was winning a game and accidentally hit the reset key.
