It doesn't even sound like

It doesn't even sound like from the description that it is a working computer.  "mock up".  So, it may be what it is, but I can't honestly say I'd think it is particularly noteworthy or valuable.  What demand is there for something like this?  Are there even any collectors who would be interested?  The Apple server line wasn't exactly a very successful product line.  And any connection between this and "Sttteeevee Jeeerbs" (typical eBay hype for any Apple related junk) seems dubious at best.

The item does indeed appear

The item does indeed appear to be real, albeit a design mock-up -- it likely doesn't contain any electronic components. It dates back to 1988 and was codenamed Columbo; there was also a desktop-style case variant too. Here's photos of it from the book AppleDesign by Rich Kunkel.

Does it have value? To the right collector, absolutely. Though for $25k I'd expect better photos.

I'm just guessing that theere

I'm just guessing that theere are very few "right collectors" who would have much interest in this.  I'm suspecting that most of them are going to think $25k is ludicrous.  Frankly, that has to be at least 10x market, probably more than that.  Probably 50 to 100 times overpriced.  Maybe in another 20-30 years it might have a little more value.  Right now I just don't see it.

For collectors, I'd guess a prototype or mock up of a model that turned out to be a big seller or one that was known to be a pet project of Steve Jobs would have a lot more value than something that is rightfully fairly obscure.

Thanks for the info.  With

Thanks for the info.  With electronics would be more interesting. According to the conception it should have a dual 68030 CPU. Still an interesting collectible

first Apple server

I'm moderately certain that the first dedicated "server" hardware Apple ever made was the file server machine they developed in 1985, but never shipped. Instead they shipped the AppleShare File Server software that ran on normal Macs.
