A2M2010P monitor screws

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me identifying the two different kind of screws holding the plastic case on an A2M2010P monitor. (2 in the upper back and 4 under it, so two different kinds of screws).

If you have the correct specs or could unscrew and measure from your own monitor. As it is now the screws are misplaced and it's not possible to assemble the monitor.

Since I'm in Europe, my ability to test different imperial screws are quite limited, so getting the correct specs would help a ton.

Thanks in advance!

There you go... It's actually

There you go... It's actually three kinds of screws: 2 short ones with a large black head for the upper backside, 4 short ones in the corners on the bottom, and another longer one on the bottom (in the middle at the rear).

That's my original screws - next to a metric ruler (cm).

Thank you so much MacFly,

Thank you so much MacFly, sorry I missed your reply!

I dunno if you're american but is it possible to see what the "thickness" of the screa is in imperial? For a european such as myself it's extremely confusing to find the correct sizes.

I have tried about 10 different kinds of imperial screws but none of them fits because of wrong thickness and/or thread.

Screw(ed-up) standards

I'm a software/electronics guy and not that good with screw threading standards. But according to Wikipedia there's a myriad of imperial, metric, British, Swahili and whatever else screw threading standards in use... Standards are so wonderful - everyone wants his own...

Anyway, here are some measurements:

  • The four short silver screws for the bottom have a shaft length of 13mm, the screw head has a diameter of 7mm, the screw thread has an outer diameter of just above 4mm (maybe 4.2mm). And the thread has a pitch of 0.6 per 1mm.
  • The single long silver screw for the bottom has a shaft length of 17mm, the screw head a diameter of 7mm, the screw thread has an outer diameter of exactly 4mm (yes, just a bit slimmer than the four short ones, but the difference could just be a tolerance issue). And the thread has a pitch 0.7 per 1mm (yes, clearly different to the four shorter ones).
  • The two black screws to hold the back shell to the front have a shaft length of 8mm, a screw head of 9mm diameter, the thread has an outer diameter of exactly 4mm. And the pitch is about 0.7 per 1mm (so their thread is identical to the long silver/bottom screw).

Btw, the A2M2010P is "Made in Korea by Samsung". I wouldn't be really surprised if they used some Korean screw standard. I mean, some South Korean screw standard, of course... ;-)
