Color classic using portable scsi external cdrom gives error when putting away mounted CD's
so I am still working on getting my Color Classic up and running. I am using an external 2X scsi CDROM/Portable Discman which works as a portable music player, has an extra battery compartment so it can run solely on batteries if needed also.  It is a RENO branded CDROM

I got the SCSI CDrom in a trade a couple years back and to my surprise other than being well used and a bit dirty it works great. I was able to boot the LEGACY Apple Cd rom and load the OS from it.

The problem I get though is when I go to remove a CD and load a new one by dragging the mounted CD into the trash can I get this error:

I am using Apples universal CDrom driver 5.3.1 from here: https://vintageapple.org/macdrivers/disk.shtml

Version 5.3.2 Doesnt even work with my CDROM

I think that drive doesn't

I think that drive doesn't have the ability to automatically eject (or in its case, I guess open), right? What happens if you open before you drag it to the trash, or if you try to do it simultaneously?

I recently aquired a CD-ROM

I recently aquired a CD-ROM drive that looks just like that one. along with a not-yet working Classic II.

ok but do you know what that means or how it pertains to the cdrom? Seems vague.

I suspect it's saying it

I suspect it's saying it doesn't have the ability to eject.
