Apple II wrench - black?

Did Apple actually make these wrenches in black?  This one looks a bit spray-painted. All of mine, which I would have gotten in the 90's, are silver.

My one has nearly he same color. Nearly black, but not really dark black after more than 30years. It was delivered with my IIe in 1983 in US.
