I apologize if this has been covered before but I couldn't find an answer anywhere... any suggestions on how to fix this? Is it as simple as replacing the light (bulb)? Where would one acquire such a bulb?
Thank you,
Roger

Someone else will have to verify. It might even by an LED in some of the models, you will just have to remove the keyboard to find out. It's super easy to remove the keyboard, just some screws and unplugging the ribbon cable from the motherboard.
Hi all,
Sure it works ! I've bought these bulbs from John (vintagemicros) last year.
Are these bulbs easy to install? I'm guessing that there's soldering involved...
Thanks
Not sure about the IIe, but on the II and plus they are in a socket.
I contacted the seller and he sells the one for the IIe.
Thanks,
Roger
Hello there !
No soldering at all : just open the case, it will reveal the bulb. Remove the dead one from the socket and place the new one. Close the case, you're done.
See here for pictures.
Got it from vintagemicros on eBay and it was so easy to install... works perfectly and looks even better
Thank you to those who helped,
Roger
