Apple II,II+, IIe SD card floppy or HDD emulator cards

All:

I am looking for opinions on what people feel are the better SD card and/or USB drive storage solutions for Apple II, II+, IIe.  I found the CFFA3000 online but it looks like that is out of production for now.  (If schematic is open source I would love to have a copy as I have several empty proto-boards).

I am more looking for DIY versions vs off the shelf.

Any input of your opinion or experiences is most welcome.

Thanks,

Mark

If you want to DIY, the SDISK

If you want to DIY, the SDISK II is probably the easiest to do:

With regards to off-the-shelf, I use the following with equal amounts: the Booti HD, MicroDrive/Turbo and the Floppy Emu.

I also have a couple of UNISDISK Air SD card devices which see less frequent use, but are also very good.

My CFFA-3000 doesn't see much use in day-to-day activities.

Please PM me if you ever want to part with your CFFA 3000. I have wanted one for years. Willing to do some trades and/or cash. I hav e specific applications where that card would be useful as a developer.

Schematics

Wow, that peaked my interest.

So I looked over Nishida's site on Archive.org.

The schematics are available for the SDISK II, but not for any of his other products.

It looks like he no longer makes any of these?  Do you know if the schematics and firmware for his II+ and IIe keyboard to USB are anywhere?  Also his composite video card for II+.  My inital Google searches aren't proving successful.

Cheers
