Sorry for the noobie question but I'm trying everything poissble that I can think of o try and get my IIGS working with the RamFast SCSI Card. My LacIE external hdd failed as the SCSI card won't reconginize it.I found an internal 50-pin SCSI drive but I'm unsure what cables to use so I can attach it as the ribbon cable connected it to the SCSI card that goes out to a 25-pin scsi header for attaching external drives in back of the IIGS. I also have a Jazz drive that a cable which goes from a 50-pin high-density to a 25-pin that I can hook up to the header on the RAMFast scsi header in the back. I remeber using this Jazz drive awhile back on my PC and it works just fine but I put it away without needing to change any jumpers. When I go into the RAMFast SCSI BIOS and tried to do a scan of teh drives it doesn't see the Jazz drive at all. Are attached drives supposed to show up in the RamFast SCSI scan utlity?Does anyone have any clues or tips that can passed along to me? I'm losing almost all my hair now.

I tried out a Jaz drive with a Ramfast. Set the Jaz drives termination to auto.
The Jaz drive showed up in the Ramfast utilities but failed to format. Formatting completely failed and left the drives original format untouched.
I booted off a Focus drive and the Jaz drive was there on the desktop. I could read and write to it.
I’m wondering. If I partitioned it on a Mac then I’m thinking that maybe I could reformat a partition to ProDOS and use it as a boot drive. I have some Macs I could try this with but I have some issues lifting heavier items at the moment. I’ll likely be able to give this a try in a week or two.
