I just received an e-mail from Rich telling me that my Gen III CFFA Card is on the way.
Not bad since I was number 107 on the list.
Can't wait to get it. Oh Boy! Lots of fun! lol

Yeah I've been watching the list on his website to see when mine will be shipping. I'm #216 on the list, so I figure I'll have it by about the middle of Nov. Can't wait! With that and the SoundMeister I recently bought through eBay my GS will be doing great. All I'll need to add, if I can ever find one for a reasonable price, is an accelerator.

Yeah, the folks on eBay are NUTS! I bought my last IIgs accelerator for $315.00 several months back. It used to be you could get one for between $100.00 and $150.00, or maybe less. Now you have to give your left arm and your first born child to get almost anything. I know part of it is the fallout from SJ passing away and eventually most of it will settle down, but you'll still have folks like the guy who has the 20Meg Hard Card for $299.00, or the guy who wants $5000.00 (Starting Bid) $25000.00(BIN) for a two page report from NeXT (SHEESH!).

Yeah some people are just insane when it comes to prices they are asking for on eBay for Apple II gear. Hopefully it will settle down in a few months.
Yes people are insane sometimes on Ebay, but like in classic cars there is a big difference in cost between a perfect "Pebble Beach" car and your simply car you will show at the car show at the local supermarket. I could see the $900 bucks for a II plus that looks like it just came out of the factory. What makes that ebay listing insane is at least on my browser most of his pictures don't show up so all I see is a nice picture of a monitor with some text, I'm not spending for that I just learned my sight unseen lesson when I bought a II plus keyboard online (wasted 65 bucks).
The other thought about Ebay is you are getting people like my wife who never get the idea that if you paid 2000 dollars for something when it's used (unless it's really rare like a 1st edition action comic) you are only going to get a fraction of what you paid. When we were cleaning up our basement she wanted to sell stuff for like $100 bucks each that I think I got like $10 on ebay. Some people are just like that and now with SJ passing away it's making people look in their closets to see what apple stuff they have just to look and then they are going hey maybe I can get some money for this. I think it will calm down in a few months, but there will be less systems out there as most people who have a system in the closet won't have "Apple" on their mind and take it out.
Since I'm being chatty, now that Richard Drehers CFFA card is shipping for the Apple II, I hope this means he will be doing another Apple I run soon...
