If I've left my beige off for awhile then turn it on it boots to a blank greyish whiteish screen with one underscore and freezes. I then have to reboot into os 9 install bootx, extensions, and stuff from xpostfacto then reboot finally into os x, which works. It used to do this when i just had a plain 10.2 installed on it with no xpostfacto, but all i did then was boot into os 9 and switched the startup disk with the control panel when i got the white screen.
my pram battery still is giving 3.6v
Oh and OS x boots off a 10,000 RPM Seagate barracuda from the internal SCSI, and os 9.1 boots from an 80gb 7200 rpm western digital hd
the machine is overclocked to 300mhz (problem was there before)
it has 320mb of ram, and a broadcom based wireless card and no other upgrades
i've gotten rid of the problem, it seems as though my scsi HD running off the internal scsi bus was messing everything up..
