URGENT Help Needed!! iMovie is being uncooperative!

Okay... i know this isnt really a help forum, but... i need help
I have about 10 or so images in an imovie project (containing about 100 images in total) on which the ken burns effect cannot be turned off. I tried turning it off, unchecked the box & hit update, but it turns itself back on! I tried reimporting the pics, i tried restarting imovie, nothing works. This affects the first 10 images, the other 90 present no such problem. Please help, this is driving my nuts, i cannot have this effect turned on.

Please... fellow fritter critters, help me out here.

tried this?

Preferential Treatment

I know it might not be the case, but to me, it sounds like some corrupted .plist files. Try that, and report back if anything happens...
