So im waiting for a new lower half for my clamshell iBook and noticed the EMI shield could be removed, im planning on painting the inside of the case, now will this affect anything with the EMI shield gone on entire case..

IIRC, on the clamshell the lower EMI shield also performs a bit of a heat sink function (or not, been awhile since I last stripped a clam.) I've no idea how critical that function is, but . . . :?
