I was browsing around, and found this: http://www.applefritter.com/thefritter/constants/backissues.html
I cant see any of the issues, as it seems to be a 403 forbidden. Is thi some sort of future publication or something? I would love to see it in a finished form.

From several years ago. Didn't realize I had any of that still in the public directories. Removed.
(No links are better than broken links)
aww that's too bad, some of the remaining pages were interesting reads...
I find it a shame when informative articles disappear. Old knowledge should be preserved whenever possible.
agreed. i also saw some interesting content there.....
so wait, it was an old publication? what happened to it? I must have missed it when I was first here. I would be nice to have something like that today, but oh well.

I managed to get a look at some of the articles, by following some (now dead) links and running them through archive.org. they still seem to hold water, so why exactly were they out and out deleted? or is there some massive AF coverup going on?
why is it everytime I open my mouth something dies?

It was discontinued due to lack of user participation. The same four people can only write so many articles before running out of ideas.

Um, 419-Eaters. Yep. This one is big; international big.
Prepare yourself to craddle a large mouth bass in your left arm and a galon of milk in your right while balancing a wheel of sharp white cheddar cheese on your head and holding a sign in your teeth that says 'Eye love the church of the milk and the cheese and the fish'.
[/crinkling sound of tin foil hat being returned to the shelf]
The archive still exists within in multiple backups. I've pulled them because of the large amount of broken links in the setup that we had, and my complete lack of time to fix it into something proper at this time. The information has not been deleted. Some of the articles are available through the AF site still, as we translated a few things (like book reviews) over when we brought the current version of AF online.
If there's a serious want for this kind of thing again, and an appropriate group of people to pull it together are interested, it's quite possible for us to start putting one up again. I'm sure that the original contributors would be glad to put together an article or two every month, but the burden of doing so is reasonably large and isn't something most of us can handle between jobs, education, family, etc.
I like having a trove of knowledge, and I think most of us can live with broken links if we know the problem is there. How about taking these articles and putting them off in a flat level where the can all be accessed fromthe same root and then putting a big caveat at the top that says, 'follow links at own risk'...
...or something like that...
We do not need to have new stuff added to have the existing collection avaiable for user discovery.
I would offer to fix the links, but my web skills are too limited to do so effectively. I would like to be a contributor and may actually produce something worth reading at some point.
