Is it possible to use a Apple II europlus keyboard an A-ONE?
there are 3 of this keyboards on ebay.de and I think it would be nice to use one of them
in a wooden case with my A-ONE but the A-ONE has a PS/2 Connector.
Is it possible to make a PS/2 connection to the Apple II europlus keyboard? Or is there a other way to use it?

Hi,
i think that the keyboard is like the other Apple II, "Ascii type",
any way, lets wait for other answers.
Cheers.
Paul.
NO. Ascii keyboard can be used with Replica-I (as well as PS/2 keyboard), but as the A-ONE lacks the connector needed, you cannoct connect an Ascii keyboard to A-ONE.
Maybe, you can try to connect it via RS-232 as a terminal keyboard, but this is a bit dirty way to do.
I would look for a way to hack the 6821. The A port is your ASCII input even on the A One replica. You would need to disable the keyboard microcontroller connected to the port so there isn't bus conflict. The strobe pin goes to pin 40 on 6821, the data pins go to pin 2-8, then you need to create a -12V supply. The -12V supply is the problem.

Hello,
thanks for your help, but it sounds a bit to difficulty for my knowings about electronic circuits. In future I will use a Cherry Compact Keyboard with US layout which I have ordered. I know, not very nostalcigally but shows ok.
