So I think I already know my answer but it's nice to vent anyways. I just bought an additional 17" ADC display to complete my dual monitor on my Power mac G5 setup and just discovered how much the adapter is going to cost me. $100?!?!?! I only spent $80 on th f'n monitor itself!! Is there any other way to accomplish this without spending as much? I know the options are limited due to the power being supplied on the same line. It just makes very little sense to me that the ADC to DVI connector is $30, but reverse that and you're payin $100. Anybody wanna enlighten me or just share in giving a big middle finger to apple be my guest!

I'm slowly working towards a DIY DVI (computer end) to ADC monitor adapter - watch my blog and keep in touch.
Don't hold your breath though. First I have to find a dead ADC video card to cannibalize.
ADC is more complex than DVI - going the other way is much simpler, and therefore cheaper. That's why you only paid $80 for the monitor ^_^
Course you could always just pick up an ADC video card
