a friend of mine just gave me a 17" imac g5 with the isight. he found it in the trash without an LCD or a hard drive. he turned it on with no screen once or twice and was able to hear the bong and the dvd drive trying to boot osx. since then, it will not power up long enough to bong, and after trying sooo many times to figure out the power wires coming from the dc-dc board, i have completely rendered it useless. i have ordered a new dc-dc board but in case that doesnt fix the problem, does anyone have any true hands on experience with these models? they are completely different from the first 2 revisions of the imac g5, in fact this one shares alot of internal parts with the first gen imac intel 1.83ghz. information on google is VERY slim, with most results pointing to the first 2 revisions. either way my ultimate goal with this machine is to put it in a pizza box mac case and use its external VGA port for which i have bought the adapter for.
sorry for such a long post and thanks in advance!
i know this is an old thread, but i still have the same question. i just got another imac with problems and need the pin out. is there no one who had one of these apart and measured?
thanks

Measure by negative probe (-) on ground pin of AC/DC PS and red probe (+) on DC/DC PS pinout.
Start pinout number by 1 pin at bottom left to upper pin, pin 6 bottom right.
