VT Terminal from a Mac SE

I was wondering what I would have to do to get my Mac SE (Superdrive) to terminal into a remote linux server via the serial port. Is there a special card I'd have to get? Any way through the SCSI port? What about the phone/printer ports? What would I have to do exactly to get it to terminal into a server? that way I can SSH out from there, and do all my development from my little Mac SE Smile

I think that all you need is

I think that all you need is a serial cable (possibly with a null-modem adapter) and terminal emulation software such as ZTerm. A bit of ports/TTY configuration magic on the Linux end and you should be able to run your Linux box from a window on the SE.

If it's remote box (it's not

If it's remote box (it's not in the same room as the SE), you could get a modem or ethernet connection and SSH into the box.

SSH on SE @ 8MHz != fun SS

SSH on SE @ 8MHz != fun

SSH on SE/30 @ 16MHz != fun

SSH on anything much less than an '040 isn't gonna be fun... Acute

Using a simple terminal connection to run SSH on the larger host will be much more fun.
