Hi,
Yes, it's certainly possible. It depends, however, on what model of Radeon it is. I've done this with mostly Radeon 7000s (because they're dirt cheap for decent performance), and a few 8500s, I believe.

Then, look around (Google helps) for Mac ROM images which correspond to the version of Radeon you have. You'll have to find a PC, but you'll only be booting into DOS once for this. Oh - you can flash the video card even if it's being used as the only display for the PC at the time.
If you need any help, let me know. Good luck!

The radeon VE is the same as a 7000, just a different name.
Ok- I gave it a shot, and flashed the ROM. This time, the Screen turn on and powers up, however all it dispalys are vertical bars, and a square area that is related to the mouse. I used the "full update" that apparently does not have to be upgraded any further. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong??
does it have a 128k or a 64k ROm chip on it?
no idea..I even called the Appian Graphics support line- and no answers with them either. Could you recommend a way to find out?
I've seen that many times. It just means that you're trying to run the card too fast. Try 166 MHz - a ROM with 166 MHz settings is in there somewhere.

The ROM is overclocked, try finding one of a slower clock speed.
