Cigar box/external hard drive--question.

I have a really cool cigar box I bought from a yard sale and a 3.5" 20GB hard drive. I want to make the cigar box into an external hard drive enclosue for my desk at home. My question is this: where can I find a usb 2.0-to-IDE adapter cable? The only ones I have found come with enclosures, and cost $50-70. I don't want to pay that much. Does anyone out the have any experience or ideas on this?

I will be going all out on this. I will cut vertical slits into the sides for ventiation and put some blue leds in that will glow throught the slits. I think it will be really cool. When it is done I will post pictures.
