HDTV advise?

With the upcoming 2006 HDTV broadcast switch, can anyone point me to a site that answers all a newbies questions? IE: Will my miglia PCI tuner card (NTSC) work after the switch? I assume I will be purchasing or renting a Set Top Box to convert the signals for my old TV's, and I want to be in the know, before I make any future purchases, or mistakes...

Cheers.

BTW: I would imagine that it would be a good Stock investment - In the company that provides a cheap STB for the conversion...

There is no way that all TV signals will be only digital by 2006. My guess is 2008 at the earliest.

I agree that the change is a bit premature at best. I can't imagine the networks abandoning the mass population of viewers, and how many of the millions of viewers will be able to afford the conversion boxes anyway? I think TV Advertising dollars will control the future of the format change.
It would be logical that the lowest common denominator will win out for some time. But what to do? As noted, sit and wait. But I would like to purchase a monitor/TV before 2006... I guess I'll just bite the bullet and see what happens.

Cheers.
