Just a note:
I installed Panther on a Beige G3 533 (XpostFacto) and it had lots of problems. Upon boot, most apps and Finder crashed, but the Software Update app worked fine. I ran the updates to 10.3.5, and all problems were fixed.
I was amazed that it worked, as the Finder was almost usless after the initial XpostFacto 10.3 install. Just a note to all that might find problems, update the software, and hopefully you will have the same success I had.
