I was looking at the IRC clients http://www.applefritter.com/node/2601 and was wondering which one is best and why?
This will be used on X.2.8, btw.

Personally, I like XChat Aqua, but you could chalk that up to no experience with the others under OS X.
I haven't looked into OS X IRC clients lately, but when I was using 10.1 I *loved* Athena.
I use XChat Aqua. If I wanted to spend the money, I'd probably use Ircle.
Ircle here

unless you like the command line of BitchX, then get Xchat aqua. its the best unix IRC program with a gui out there. unless they make Klient for unix...
I still use Ircle because it has a few features others dont. Snak is nice if you are used to mIRC, but I cant stand mIRC heh. I also run a BitchX client on my shell that I access when I am not at home. Xchat works pretty good too.
