To all you Apple Knights out there,
I want to use the best keyboard ever made - my Apple II keyboard - with my new Mac PowerBook G4. The old connector (with the cool spiral cord) seems to fit in all the right places - from the old keyboard to the side of the PowerBook, but when I type nothing happens. Am I doomed forever to the cheap keyboards of today, or does someone have any creative ideas I might try?
Damsel in Distress,
Josie
Heh heh, the socket into which you plugged your splendid Apple KB II is in fact the S-video out port. Soooo . . .
You need an ADB-USB adapter. I've got my ADB Extended Keyboard II (and TurboMouse!) plugged into my G4 through a Griffin iMate and it works great.

: ) no wonder it didn't work!
Thanks for the great advice, I'm running out to get me a Griffin iMate! So glad I found this site.
