USB2 on iMac G5 (1st generation)

My new HP printer will not communicate with my iMac G5 due to lack of USB2 on the Mac. Can one upgrade the iMac G5 to USB2 and if so, how ?

Thanks

I'm thinking the same

IIRC, the iMac G5 has no PCI/mini-PCI slots. So... yeah. That is what you would need to do. Good luck finding one!

USB 2.0 and iMacs

Every iMac made after the 1.25 ghz iMac G4 has USB 2.0. Your iMac G5 has USB 2.0 on the logic board. Every machine released after 2003 has it. (aluminum PowerBook G4, iBook G4, Power Mac G5, 1.25 ghz eMac, iMac, iMac G5)

Does the printer work with other machines? Is it being connected to the keyboard or the logic board. The keyboard is a USB 1.1 device, but the logic board is USB 2.0. The Apple keyboards are still USB 1.1.
