I bought a great laptop on E-Bay for my daughter, it just arrived and requires old owners password to operate. He's not available till next week and my daughter is dying to use it.
Is there any way to by pass this.

what os is it running? if os x then you can insert the install cd/dvd and there is a utility to reset passwords.
