Bargin Basement Notebook

I'm looking for a bargin basement note book. I'm not posting this as a want add but for some thoughts on what would be a good bargin basement notebook? What I want is to be able to connect wireless to a network and my current laptops OS is not new enough to work.

Kick it up a notch. Go with a 3400 or 2400. Their 603e processors are only slightly faster, but the internals (system bus etc) are much more advanced, giving them a significant speed boost.

The 3400 is kinda heavy at 7+lbs but the 2400 is a certified lightweight at 4.4lbs (less than a current PBG4 12")

another thing to consider is that the 1400 and the 1400 can be upgraded to G3 processors. Could be useful

or

you can go with a "kanga" a.k.a. the original PowerBook G3. They are pretty fast, and decent enough. and especially pretty cheap

EDIT: How about this...

I know it is an auction, but it is a complete system, and is all there. Plus it included a zip drive/CD-Rom drive, and 2 batteries.

That's not bad.

I also believe they are upgradable to a higher CPU if you can find a vendor that has one (or an older one on ebay)

If I had the room, I would buy that one

PowerBook G3

Depending on your budget, I'd buy a Lombard or Pismo PowerBook G3. If those are out of your price range, see the above comments about 603e powered machines.
