In September of 1992 Apple released the Performa 40x and 4xx series. These are essentially LC II clones. If you look inside one, exact same motherboard. The only thing that varies is the amount of video ram included and this varies by model.

This computer began the modern "generation" line.

It even was dubbed the wicked fast computer, and came with spedometer images on every box.

I still have both of my G3s to date.
