IIsi won't power up

Hello, this is my first post. As the title says, my IIsi will not power up. Never happened before; this machine has been completely reliable. The only anomoly has been that on initial power up, the monitor would be black and white only. After power up is complete, doing a restart would fix that; the monitor would be then be in color. I replaced the monitor thinking that it was the cause, it was not. To try and fix the powerup issue, I replaced the Sony power supply with one I bought on ebay. Again, nothing. Even the fan does not spin.

Will a II+ or IIe power supply work with a II?

Title says it all-- kinda. I have all three but the II is missing the supply. Will one of the others (II+, IIe) work in the II?

Thanks,
Scott

A find from Freecycle

All,

About a month ago I picked a nice stash from a freecycler wishing to clean out. The summary list: Partial Apple II, II+, IIe and lots of h/w accessories and software. The fuller list is at the end of this entry.

I'm not a big collector (I have a Obtronix Apple Replica and Kim-1 (another 6502 SBC)). Bit I thought I'd piece together a nice representative Apple 2 and sell off the rest. I haven't tested anything yet.

Brands of Apple ][ joysticks - Was KRAFT the only manufacturer?

All I've ever seen are KRAFT brand joysticks for the Apple ][. Did any other companies ever make joysticks for the Apple ]['s? How about Apple themselves? Did they?

Math Game Title

I'm looking for the name of a math game I played back in 3rd grade (1992-93). If I remember correctly you started out answering a number questions to build up the amount of bombs you would carry for the next mission. The number of bombs you received related to the answers of the questions, so 9x9 was always a great question. Once you completed the questions you started the mission. During the missions you were a white plane on a black background. Your job was to destroy certain military type buildings as well as enemy aircraft.

Which came first? Apple //gs or Apple ///?

Was the Apple //gs released AFTER the Apple ///? or before?

Also, are both of these machines backwards compatible with Apple ][ software?

Keyboard Anomaly

I recently acquired an unenhanced Apple IIe from a resale shop. It is generally in working order and passes all of the diagnostic tests, but the keyboard frequently spits out strings of up to a dozen characters if you press a key or combination it doesn't like. Initially thinking it was a mechanical problem, I desoldered, adjusted and reassembled every keyswitch, but the problem persists. I have cleaned and reseated every chip on the board, removed all peripherals and even replaced all the RAM with known good modules. There is no change when switching to the enhanced chipset.
