Apple II Cassette Interface

Did the Apple II come with a built-in cassette Interface? How was it connected to the Apple II? Was there a special data-cassette player in 1977, or did you simply use a normal cassette player?

Ressurection spells?

I have just recently aquired some older hardware that a school was throwing away. An Apple IIGS, with 5.25" and 3.5" external drives + monitor. I was able to boot into the console and write some simple BASIC programs. I haven't been able to write anything to the floppies though as I have no manuals, etc.

I also got a DuoDock with a Powerbook 230 and 14" Monitor. However this boots up with AfterDark which is password protected and is basically useless to me currently.

Apple IIc machine language reference

Hello! A friend of mine has an Apple IIc that he programs in machine code. He asked me to look around for a machine language reference guide. I don't know if this information would be in the User's Guide that was originally distributed with this machine, or if there's another source for this information. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

-Dave

SVD (semi-virtual diskette) review for the apple II

Eric Rothfus has created a device which allows you to use disk images that you normally use with emulators for a virtual disk drive that you can now attach to the apple II computer.

Apple II Dimensions

I am not lucky enough to own my own Apple II, so I thought, "Hey, why don't I make a small scale model of one?"

This I thought about for some time and then went to look on the net to see if I could find any sites with the sizes of an Apple II.

If any one could help with this I would grateley appriciate their help. Any Apple II would be fine but I would rather have the sizes for an Apple II (first one) or an Apple IIe.

Thanks.

Looking For Crack Rom and Software

Hey all;

ALong time ago , if you happend to live in the HB area of southern Cal , a friend of mine made some really awsome Crack Roms or should we say Monitor roms , it had a switch that
was wired from a few of the legs of the eprom , and when you switched it on , it dumped all
the data into the monitor or 6502 , which was really handy for saving . So if any one seen
any of these , it would be great to know , they were made by THE FREEZE .

Apple IIe/GS Project

I'm starting research into a project to produce "Hard To Come By" Apple IIe/gs peripheral cards and maybe even an "Ultimate Apple IIe/gs" system. This project will probable be limited to the IIe and IIgs, but may include others. Whether it involves overhauling older, already produced systems or reproducing the IIe/gs with modern components is still undecided with the "Ultimate Apple IIe/gs" series. I'm still researching what issues would be encountered with copyrights or patents. Sounds interesting? Read on.

Preserving an old game

I own an Apple IIe with a green/black screen and two 5" floppy drives (I'm not sure if this information is useful, so I included it :/ ). I have noticed over the years that many of my games have warped, become corrupt, or completely unusable. For most of my disks, I don't really mind. However, one game in particular seems to have struck a note in my heart, Win Lose or Draw. By some miracle, this game has survived unhurt through the years without any special form of preservation, and being the most used by far of all my disks.

apple 1 on ebay>?

you decide...

doubt it

sounds like they guy is neither confirming or denying...though his email reply to me shows he is well versed in vintage computers...i would believe he would have looked further. When i asked for a picture of the inside...he stated that it was already packed..sounds fishy
