Apple II

There used to be so many...

Now days we all "surf the net" downloading files, posting in forums, researching information etc. I remember my first online experience was not the internet, but the old dialup BBS's. My first modem was an external 1200 baud hooked up to my Apple IIc and this was state of the art compared to the guys with the 300 baud modems Smile My next modem a 2400 baud unit was quickly followed by a real speed demon (at the time) a U.S. Robotics 9600 baud modem.

SUBLOGIC FLIGHT SIMULATION

I am a flight simulator collector/historian trying to trace back the history of flight simulation on PC. I have an old cassette tape released by subLOGIC in the late seventies. I was able to boot up the DEMO side of the tape (memory/exec addresses: 800.2000R 1F00G but I cannot identify the memory/exec addresses for the other side called SUBLOGIC 6502 / APPLE II 3D GRAPHICS. I wonder if someone could assist me on this matter. Thanks!

An interesting find in my disk drive

One day I was playin' around on my IIe. I noticed that the disks were not popping out when I popped up the door. I went ahead and opened it to see what was jamming the ejection device. To my surprise, it was an old bubble yum gum wrapper and a sticker that was to another IIe. It was the power light sticker that said "enhanced". This IIe that I recently obtained is most likely a machine used in a school. I accidentally threw out the gum wrapper, I wanted to keep it.

Help with transferring files!

AHAHHH! I spent the last three days trying to either setup AppleShare on my apple IIgs OR trying to download files to my mac, then put them on floppies to go on my IIgs.

I cant seem to do Apple talk because the disk i made wont boot, and when i get files on my apple , they are all type $00 or Text Files.

I could get around these problems if there was a way to change file types in ProDOS without use of other software (that I dont have)

Help!

IIgs monitor info

Last night when I turned on my monitor it made a sound a bit unusual and louder then normal....the green power light came on then went off. I pressed the monitor power button and turned if off and tried again...same thing. I "lightly" tapped the monitor casing above the power switch and it came on and stayed on.

Same drill this morning when I powered up the monitor, except I had a bit of screen "shaking" but another light tap stablized the display.

I am guessing that I have a short in the power switch or one of the leads coming out of it.

Digicard System

I just recieved one of these with several D-Net interface cards....

I am looking for *ANYBODY* who knows about these systems, and am willing to compensate for any help/drivers recieved to get this thing going again.

Please post any info if possible.

BTW, when the digicard comes up, it blinks the A network light 5 times, and the B network light 3 times. Its some kind of error code.
