Third series Uther run...?

I heard a rumor that A2Retrosystems is preparing to release a third run of their Uther cards this September...? Can anyone confirm?

Going nuts to identify an expansion card I picked up,

I've had this card a few days now and I can't figure out what the heck it is. The blue connector seems to be a standard floppy interface and fits into a floppy drive. I haven't tried it with a powered on II, though. I remember reading a FD controller can be burned out with the wrong drive attached, so yeah, a bit nervous about it.

All googling brings up useless links. Since I know very little about Apple II hardware (or how to work it) I thought it might be best to ask around here. Electrocution isn't on my agenda. : )

Apple II+ broken - does not boot

I have an Apple II+ which broke many years ago. My father believes one of the expansion cards was not properly inserted in the slot, causing it and the computer to stop working.

problem transfering .dsk images from pc->//c fixed!

hi;

well I figured out what was going wrong with adt [apple disk transfer] , in regards to transfering .dsk images from the PC -> my //C , it wasn't the fact that the .dsk image was a 8-sector or 16-sector format , adt was checking the actual disk format , to see if it was 16-sector , so to fix this problem , all I had to do was boot up dos 3.3 system master , typed FP and INIT HELLO , ran adt again and tryed the transfer again and it worked flawlessly! thanks to everyone in the past who gave me good advice on what to check.

take care.

Apple IIC Disk Drive Problems.

Hi!

I was recently booting up some old 5.25 Floppys the other night , and ofcourse I
got the dreded re-calibration noise and I/O errror. Now when I go to boot up any
Floppy Disk , I get the dreded calibration noise and error . Is it possible the disks that I tried put my 5.25 internal drive out of calibration? If so , is it possible to have the IIC bootup to the 5.25 External drive? If not , I would like to know how to calibrate an apple //drive.

see ya.

All good things come to an end...

Greetings!

As some of us may know, some games on Apple II were extremely difficult to play back then, even for hardcore gamers. However thanks to the save state feature of some Apple II emulators, it is now possible to finish those games and reveal their never-seen-before endings. So here are two memorable examples of hard-to-beat games, Zorro and The Goonies by Datasoft (1985).

Enjoy! Smile

Any ProDOS experts?

I am having a problem booting into ProDOS with my latest hardware emulator. When I boot from a ROM drive without the floppy ROM, ProDOS boots correctly. But when the ROM for the floppy is visable, ProDOS seems to go into neverland. Depending on the contents of memory, it can do almost anything. I traced the boot process and it appears that when the ROM is visable, some code is missed and when a RTS is executed, there is some extra data still on the stack and this becomes the program counter. And this is why the RAM contents affect what happens.
