Looking for a WORKING copy of the Viewmax-80 boot disk

Hello group,

Would anyone have or know where I cn get a working copy of the boot disk for the Micromax Viewmax-80 video card for a ii plus?  There's a 4am crack floating around that crashes and I found a copy of what I believed to be an original disk and that crashed as well. The card PR#3s into 80 columns fine but I'd like to run Applewriter and Visicalc in 80 columns  so I can actually use the card productively. Hopefully someone is famliar with this card and its software.

Thanks

Question about replacing C1 on IIe PSU

The MP cap blew in the PSU. Before I order a new one, does it have to be a MP type cap? Or will any cap with the same values work?

Thanks!

Apple IIgs not moving drive heads - IWM?

Hey, all! New here, looking for some advice.

I have a IIgs that doesn't like reading 5.25" disks (and no 3.5" to test). The 5.25" drive works fine in a IIe with a newer controller with the DB19 port. In the IIgs, the drive head doesn't seem to like to move forward, so formats fail, reads fail, writes fail as soon as that head needs to move. Not knowing much, I assume that something is up with PH0-3, as those seem to control the drive head.

Softcard II and AMD AM2950

Hi,

I recently got a Microsoft Z80 Softcard II for Apple II. It looks the board works (CPM boot) but they need more tests before conclusion.

On this board there is a AM2950 chip. They get very hot...

I dont know what it is and his purpose. I try to find a datasheet but without success...

Anybody has information about this component ?

Regards.Philippe

My Apple II Rev 0 & PSU Info

I'm preparing my Apple II Rev 0 and related documentation for sale soon, as mentioned in a earlier post on this forum.  I last powered it on successfully in September 2014 and let it run a few days, with on/off cycling every so often.  Turned it off, backed away in its Apple carrying case and put it on a shelf.

DAN][ Controller with Ethernet and FTP Server

I haven't seen reports of people using the DAN][ controller's Ethernet option. This is also a neat feature that Daniel added to the card. He added support to "IP65", the 6502's TCP/IP library. There is an example disk in the github project.

$0201 error on a IIgs

Hi, folks,

I'm trying to track down the source of a problem that I've started having with my Apple IIgs all of a sudden. I've noticed that any time I try to launch a ProDOS 8 program (even something as simple as going to BASIC) the system crashes with error $0201, forcing a restart.

I looked up the error code, and it seems to be a memory allocation error. The error does not happen when running GS/OS-based programs.

YKH-128 (aka HMS-3264) EPROM Programmer... searching for the software disk

I have this old EPROM Programmer card (called a  YKH-128) that I acquired around 1983.  It is the type with three ZIF sockets designed to handle 2716, 2732, 2732A, and 2764/27128 respectively with the correct volatges generated for burning reliably. It is also an almost exact clone of the Hollister Microsystems HMS-3264 card. Over the years and several moves, I no longer have the software diskette for driving it, and the disk image does not appear in the usual repositories (eg Asimov).  No roms on this card, all of the logic is driven from the utility program.
