Apple II Memory Expansion Card problem

My Apple II Memory Expansion Card (which has 256KB onboard) is not detected by ProDOS as a RAM drive.  It's presently in slot 4 of a Platinum //e and when I run Copy II Plus to format it as a ProDOS block device it succeeds but when I access the drive it says it's not recognizable as a DOS 3.3 or ProDOS device. I can verify the drive using Copy II Plus and it appears to be the right volume size (512 ProDOS blocks).

I've tried replacing the RAM modules with known good one's but that hasn't made any difference.  Any ideas ?

*Newly acquired box-fresh Apple II Plus! || Project log + newbie questions*

Hi everyone! I came across this forum when searching regarding the keyboard on my Apple II, and I found this helpful thread about converting to Cherry MX keyswitches. https://www.applefritter.com/content/cherry-mx-datanetics-dc-51-keyboard-switch-adapter

So I figured I might as well sign up and say hi. :)

I recently acquired this early Apple II Europlus (European Plus variant) which had been sat in its original box for over 30  years!

Dim/fuzzy output on IIe

Just picked up an Enchanced IIe, and it has a wierd problem - pretty low video output, and a bit fuzzy, connected to my Apple Monochrome monitor. My other IIe is crisp and much brighter. Any idea where to start troubleshooting?

Homemade MMU and IOU progress thread

Hello everyone,

I will post my progress on my homemade MMU and IOU here in this thread.

I just made my sources for the MMU publicly available here: https://github.com/frozen-signal/Apple_IIe_MMU_IOU

These sources are licensed under Creative Common Zero (public domain). I wanted to wait before releasing them until I did due diligence and identified the problem, but that may take a while so I made the repo public this morning.

Apple //c keyboard replacement

I am looking to replace my ROM 255 Apple //c's keyboard (presently an 820-6509) with a newer ALPS model (658-4087).  Will this work without problems ?

Apple //GS Serial Number Decoder

Good Afternoon,

Can anyone point me in the direction of an Apple //gs serial number decoder? I had found one and decoded my s/n but have misplaced the information. I've Googled but to avail for the GS.

Thank You in advance.

Request [for firmware flashing]

I have a Dan ][ card that I bought last Nov. I saw the firmware update that MacFly created for it and would really like to have that on mine. Unfortunately I'm not a hardware guy. Would someone on here that is in the US and has the ability to flash the updated firmware be willing to help me? I'll pay what you think is reasonable to do this and also shipping back to me.

Thanks in advance.

Apple //e keyboard board compatibility

I am having  trouble with keys on my apple //e and tried to swap a friend's keyboard from another apple //e and was surprised to see every single key being repeated constantly until I press another one. All keys do this. What could this be? Are those boards not all cross compatible? Thanks!

Flashing a particular coordinate like a cursor in lo-res mode

I'm in the middle of working on some personal coding projects in BASIC, and I'm curious as to how one might implement this:

I've written a simple drawing program that allows you to move around the screen and draw blocks on the screen in lo-res mode, with a portion of the text window reserved for displaying your X,Y position. The problem is that if you're not drawing anything, it's a little hard to know exactly where the cursor is, even with the coordinates displayed.
