Help me Fix my Apple II Plus

Hello all,

 

I have just recently inherited an Apple II+ Plus from my late godfather. I got it working with little trouble, but then the power supply blew up. I bought a replacement for it from ReativeMicro and just installed it. Since installation I seem to be having trouble with getting the Apple II to read disks. Now when turning on the Apple II, it boots and then just stays at the Apple II screen with the drive spinning, I can get it to boot to BASIC by pressing CTRL+RESET. I've tried a new Disk interface board but it didn't change anything.

Help me fix my saved Apple IIe Platinum

Hi everyone!I recently bought an Apple IIe platinum (that was used in a school!), the monitor, and a disk drive from an estate sale. I got it home, plugged it all in and turned it on. The monitor turned on fine, but nothing else. I quickly turned it all off. I then went into a DEEP rabbit hole of YouTube videos, along with finding the Apple II group on FB. I own about 20 original arcade games, so I'm comfortable around voltages, CRTs and electronics, so I decided to dive in. First. No power to main board.

Website for digitally designing your Apple II setup

I'm a pretty experienced coder, and I'm considering making a website where it not only compiles lots of information from different sources, but also allows you to digitally create an Apple II where you can check for incompatibilities and such. What do you guys think? Should I make it? Would anyone use it?

The Freed 6809 card revisited

Greetings,

My recently-completed prototype 6809 card designed by Alex Freed.Runs OS9 nice and stable. Tested on my Apple 2e Platinum in slot 4.

Card runs at 1+ MHz, has no attached peripherals or memory. It relies entirely on the Apple host for I/O, display and keyboard.

Design based on the Stellation Two "The Mill" implementing the Motorola MC6809E. I made a few changes to impliment the CMOS Hitachi HD63C09E.

Apple II clock circuit question...

Looking at the II clock circuit because I'm not seeing a clock on a 79 II motherboard. At first I thought it was a problem with the crystal because I was only seeing a high output from Q2.

 

Looking at the SAMS Compufact Apple II / IIPlus I see the following information on the timing circuit, so I took some measurements:

Replacing the battery in an Apple IIGS

So I keep on seeing guides and warnings stating that I should replace the battery on my IIGS. However, I am often seeing conflicting guides, some saying to use battery holders, some saying to solder them on, some saying to clip them on. Some say to use 3 AAA batteries, and others say to use the Tadiran TL-5101/S 1/2 AA battery.  What do you guys think?

I have a GGLABS GZ/80S Apple II/IIgs 20MHz 512KB scheda PCPI CP/M - Zilog Z80 in slot #4 (Apple 2e), but I am getting the follor error: "can't find Z80 card"

 

is there anyone who can help me?

MG ROM++ for the Apple II/II+

First there was the ROM eX, then the ROM 4X and ROM 5X. All great improvements to the standard Apple System ROMs.

 

Now we have a version for the Apple II/II+ with ROMX+ !! Boot menu, coldboot, mini assembler and much more. See current status at theRomExchange.
