Ralle Palaveev VGA card boards arrived today

This is similar to the Vince Briel version of the card, but supposedly with some additional capabilities.

Zmachine for Apple IIe

Hi! I'm trying to develop a zmachine game for the apple IIe and I'm running into some trouble with errors, and am feeling a bit out of my depth, I'm curious if anyone here might be able to help me

When I build my game for z3, it works, and when I build it for z5 I get INTERNAL ERROR 00

Stunt Car Racer ported to Apple II

Hi folks,

I created a port of the C64 version of Stunt Car Racer to the Apple II. Here's a video demonstration with a download link in the description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2uZCSfIqR4

All it needs is 48K RAM to run. Since I have no access to real hardware, I could only test the game with AppleWin, and I'd love to know if it actually works as intended on the real deal.

Apple II+ hard reset

Hi all,

I'm trying to find out if there is a way to perform a hard reset on an Apple II+ without having to power cycle the machine.

The background is: the machine is on display in a local no-profit computing museum and it would be great if there was an easier way to start another program than reaching at the back for the power switch.

Is there a way to wire something onto the motherboard so when triggered it performs a full reset as if the computer was power cycled? Thank you!

Apple Schematics

Kind of a wonky question here.

A while back, I found some very nice pdfs of Apple 1 schematics.  I had them printed on cardstock and I have them as art on the wall.

I thought about doing this for the II+ and IIe.  Finding schematics on Asimov or RetroActive is not the problem, what is a problem are the number of pages that make up the schematic.

Has anyone ever stitched together some of the pages to make a more contiguous schematic?

Doers anyone know how to stitch pdf pages together?

Red light on duodisk drive and constantly running

I recently changed the rifa cap on my old Apple IIe and after putting everything back together my duodisk drive is constantly spinning and has a red light on at all times.

I am pretty new to this, so I am not sure what the issue could be. Before changing the rifa everything worked fine.

Apple II (Not Plus) Board has Issues

Recently got a Rev.2 Apple II board.  Originally had AppleSoft ROMs, But the AutoStart had a bad pin (broke off) so I replaced them with an Integer set I had on a II+ board.  The board boots to the Machine Monitor, and with a ROM switch card (AppleSoft onboard) in Slot 0, it will go to BASIC.  I connected a Disk II in Slot 6, and put in a copy of Apple-cillin II.  It loaded fine, so I tried a copy of DOS 3.3, and it either hangs after splash screen or crashes.

MMU problem?

Hi all,

I found a IIe in the loft (PAL version) and it does not boot.  Clock phases are correct and address/data lines look OK.  Adr downstream of buffers 74LS244 also look OK and buffers test OK (in an LED & switch tester!). There is no beep.

Apple /// ROM Adapter and Custom ROM Project

I wanted a reliable and easy to use adapter for the Apple /// system ROM ("B9 ROM"). Something to plug standard EPROMs & EEPROMs. I want to make a few ROM extensions - making use of the second ROM bank, which was orignally unused. Apple only installed 4KB ROMs, though 8KB were supported (split into two banks) - but the unused second bank just returned random data. Maybe Apple intended this to be used for future updates. But we all know that never happened...
