Apple II

I found CATSEND 3.0! And a interesting bit on the first Texting Voice Mail for a BBS in the 1980's.

Has anyone noticed in Applewin , you are not able to create any Virtual Disks? I had to go back to a later version of Applewin to do this. Normally you would boot up a DOS 3.3 Disk , click on a Drive Icon , type in the name of the File you wish to create , hit Enter , then in BASIC you would type INIT HELLO . This would create the .DSK file , but for some reason in the newer versions of Applewin you get an I/O Error! I noticed this because I finally found CATSEND 3.0!!

Question: not sure if the problems with the disk drive or the game

So I just came around a great deal on a IIe Platinum fully loaded for $7. This is my second IIe because my old IIe was in Puerto Rico and my parents wouldnt ship it and said the same thing why the hell do you want an old computer. Being 10 at the time I had to follow their rules. I bought Ultima IV online and a disk drive. Im not sure if its the game or the drive which is not functioning. It keeps on freezing on the same location and keeps on making the same sound. Im posting a vid on Youtube and ill post a link for it when its done uploading

The Impossible Dream?

As I was reading several of the posts over the last couple of days, it was strange that several of them dealt with ethernet connectivity in one form or another.

It occured to me that with all of the new hardware that seems to be popping up (Rich Dreher et al) that no one sems to have made an attempt at an ethernet card with an RJ-45 connection (if the Uthernet card has one I will have to pay pennance for my blasphemies) that will work with the Apple II family of computers.

Apple II joystick -> USB?

I was curious if anyone was aware of an adapter to convert vintage Apple II joysticks to USB for usage with modern Apple II emulators?

I have seen such adapters for the commodore, but they only enable one button for Apple joysticks and not the secondary fire. Any ideas?

looking for Lunar Lander for the II,II+

hey guys , looking for a really old game for the II , it was Lunar Lander? you remmeber! you were in a little ship and as you were decending downwards you have to land on certain landing areas , using speed adjustments with you rocket's motor , and not to land to hard or fast for fear of exploding on impact..... if anyone has it in .DSK format , can you send it to me? for some reason I don't have it in my collection and this would be an awsome addition to my collection.

]thanks again :O)

Sequential Systems Q-100 Expansion Card

Good evening all,

I am looking for information on a Sequential Systems Q-100 Expansion Card.
I tried Google and got nowhere.
I know Sequential Systems made RAM cards and interface cards, but this card (with a daughter card and another via cable attached card) is up for auction on eBay and I do not want to bid on it without reading about it or knowing what I'm bidding on first.
No manual comes with it. It looks like a RAM Expansion, but I am not sure what the functions are of the daughter card and extra atached card are.

Anyone have a clue?

info about US Apple II

Hi to all,
I've had in the '90 an apple IIe that I enhanced form myself then I had the bad idea to sell it... Now I'd like to search for another one to use it (program and games) to remember my "good old days".
I have started to searching for an Apple II Europlus (I always dreamed to have one) but I saw there are some limitations with new hardware sold on the WEB. So I decided to return to the IIe.
Here my questions:

Apple II software collectors?

Hi all,

I have always enjoyed reading the hardware discussions here in the forum, but I am interestied in finding out how many of you collect Apple II and IIgs software. I am not talking about the readily available downloadable disk images, but the orginal software complete in the box. My personal collection of orginal software complete in the box is currently around 156 titles. A modest collection compared to a few collectors I know.
