Apple II

Help indentfying a card

This card was in a box of  various printer cards.  It has a 16 pin connector and it looks to me like it has memory chips.  On the back is the marking AA-1  and VE-1.  I was thinking some type of printer buffer card,  but the connector  confuses me. Thanks for any suggestions.

What are the dimensions of the Apple //e Motherboard?

I'm new around these parts, so why no start with an odd question? I've got a crazy idea but I need to know if the //e mobo will fit.  I figure a bunch of you probably have nekkid motherboards around and could dash off two measurments for me.  So would you kindly?

Building my IIe Platinum

I have been slowly building my IIe Platinum. It currently has the following:

 - CFFA3000

 - Mockingbird 2.2

 - SSC, 80 Col, and 5.25" Disk controller cards

- Upgraded PS from Reactive Micro

 

I have few questions:

1. Is the 63W power supply enough for so many cards? I don't have much prior experience with expandable Apples...

2. Taking into the consideration cooler-running PS, do I still need to worry about ventilation inside?

Disk II cable question

I have an Apple IIe with a Disk II, and I'm looking for a better solution to my disk drive cabling.

Currently, the Disk II ribbon cable goes from the drive loosely through an open port in the back of the computer and into the controller card. 

I'm wondering if this is the typical way these are set up? My concern is that I move the computer in and out of storage often, and I'd rather not be opening it up and fiddling with the controller card each time.Also, the controller card gets tugged often when the drive is moved around.

Apple 2e, keyboard not working

Just picked up a apple 2e. Plugged it in and turned it on. Apple2 logo came on and control-reset turned it to applesoft but no other keys worked. Only keys working are contnrol, apple keys and reset. Tried resetting the cable to the motherboard. Any other tips would be appreicated.

ADTPro on Europlus?

Hi! I have an Apple II Europlus, with a Super Serial card, and AFAIK, non working drives (and misplaced disks..). I got it bootstapped with prodos and vsdrive.. but then prodos points out I don't have 64K of RAM. Can I do anything? Sad

Apple II Video Issues - Boots OK

Hello all

This is my first post on Applefritter. I've used many enjoyable hours reviewing all the excellent posts on Applefritter, as well as the extremely helpful trouble shoot guide at http://www.appleii-box.de.

My rev 4 apple ii that came from the UK has display problems! Everything seems fine for the most part--system beeps, boots, keyboard is responsive, etc--EXCEPT the video is scrambled with vertical lines. See attached photos.

Solved - Apple II Appleshare Programmer’s Guide

Hi there,

Does anyone have the Appleshare programmer's guide for the Apple II?
This seems to be the only document that has not been scanned to pdf.

I have seen it for sale on Syndicomm and wouldn't mind buying it, but I do mind $60 of shipping for a few pages of paper.
