For some time I have been making kits for vintage computing enthusiasts and electronics hobbyists.
I also have a couple of products that are specifically for the Apple-1 and Apple 2.
New stock of these products arrived:
- ASCII Keyboard Tester Tiny; the new design of the ASCII Keyboard Tester (some background here). Makes it easy to test parallel ASCII keyboards. It can be used on top of an Apple-1 or Apple ][ and eavesdrop the keyboard signals. It can also be used stand alone to test a keyboard in isolation. Available as a kit for $25.
- Character Generator Tester; inspired by an article by Don Lancaster in Popular Electronics April 1974 issue (thread here). Discover how an Apple-1 or Apple ][ generates a single character for display. It uses a 5x7 dot matrix display. Has an internal clock and the refresh speed can be regulated to see the actual built up of the character. Kits available for $35.
- Keyboard Serial Terminal; get to the real fun quick. Load software to your Apple-1 with ease (thread). Can work together with the Apple1Software.com. Use Uncle Bernie's TurboType™ method for faster transfers. For example, use BASIC or play Mini-Startrek within 30 seconds. Get remote control using a terminal application (like Minicom). Select a baudrate of 57.6 kbps or 9600 bps. Kit for $59.
Check them out in my Tindie and Lectronz store. For direct orders (through PM here) I can give a discount.
