Apple II video ROMs

I'm currently extending an Apple II emulator with proper support for various video ROMs and keyboard layouts.

I found several Apple II video ROM variants (asimov & co): French, German and UK variants. There's even a French-Canadian ROM. But was that all? Those variants seem to be all that's available on the usual download sites.

Apple IIc ADTPro Floppy Formatting Error "2D"

Hello, I just got my IIc working and tried using ADTPro to copy some games to floppy disks. When I try to format a 5.25" disk with ADTPro I get an error message that reads "Unrecognized error = 2D". I'm using a two sided, double density disk. Does anyone here have any idea what this error means, or what could be wrong? Thanks!

Startup Issue

Hey

I been trying to fix this issue I have. I am new to this Apple IIe and I am unsure how it should boots up.

So without any cards in the slot I turn it on and the selftest starts. It take quit a while to get to kenel OK screen, it looks like the test just restarting.

When I press the Control and reset buttons the selftest will start again. I can keep pressing the control and Reset and system will stop and send me to the prompt so I can type in a program.

Looking for DOS Tool Kit Manual

I'm looking for a scan of the manual for the original (v1.0, 1980) DOS Tool Kit (not the later ProDOS version). This is the package that also included HRCG, the High-res Character Generator software.

 

I've done a web search, but can't find it anywhere. Anybody have a scan of this or an original that they're willing to scan?

Clear Caes for Apple IIe & IIgs

The project for clear cases for the Apple II & II Plus failed to reach the goal.  But an attempt to give one last chance to the Apple II line means a new Kickstarter.  This Kickstarter will allow for clear (and glow in the dark) cases for the Apple IIe (both early versions but not platinum).  A IIe to IIgs conversion kit complete with stamped base plate, connectors, and badges is also a reward.  In order to reach the goal on this project we need to spread the word as much as possible.

Reviving one of these Apple II or II+ boards

I've got an Apple II that I'd like to get working again, and an Apple II+ that is in pretty poor condidion that also would be cool to get working again. I don't trust the II+ board as several of the RAM chips had legs that corroded away and one of the 74 series chip sockets had a corroded away contact as well. All pins on both sets of ROMs (One set of Integer and one set of Applesoft) are intact however, yet neither set will boot past assembly in the II.

5mb Profile

Hi, does anybody know if the 5MB profile drive is compatible with the Apple II? I know the 10MB drive is and I see 10MB controller cards on ebay but never 5MB cards. Could you use the 10MB card with the 5MB drive?

Apple II europlus

Hello  everyone.

 

New to the forum and first post.

 

I recently got my hands on an Apple II europlus and a monitor iii, with disc drive

 

When i power it up I get a beep

But the entire screen is green with a flashing cursor.

 

I type in anything , hit enter get a beep

 

Cant see any characters - Just a green screen with a flashing cursor

 

the direction keys work

when i boot it up with the disc drive card installed it boots a game ( choplifter screen) but then freezes.
